OUR
POLICIES
- Deposit
policy for tours: 20% of the tour price to effect your reservation,
full payment must be received 7 days before the start of the tour.
- Deposit
policy for accommodation: not always required (depends on season)
but to guarantee your place, we ask one night’s deposit
in advance at booking.
- Cancellation policy: 48 hours prior to arrival
(by sms and confirmed by e-mail with your name and booking number)
for tours and accommodation to receive a refund. Refunds are subject
to a $25 cancellation fee on tours and $57.50 on accommodation
to cover administration costs and bank transfer fees. If Tanager
Tourism cancels a tour because of lack of interest, cancellation
fees are not applied.
- We accept cash, recognized bank checks, travelers’
checks, and (for bookings) international transfers to our bank
account in either the Netherlands (ABN-AMRO) or in Panama (BBVA).
- Children are welcome to stay, but we would like
to be advised in advance. We do not charge for under 5 yrs if
they are sharing with parents. We have no childcare available
but could arrange this with a trusted community member for a fee.
- We appreciate a Smoke Free environment but have
special areas where smoking is allowed for the addicts. We ask
for extra care during the dry season when fire may cause enormous
damage to the land.
- All rates are subject to change without notice.
Tourism tax (10%) is included in the rates.
- For the accommodation: check-in to your room
(or tent) as of 14h00 (but adaptations can be made if so advised
with a pre-booking).
- Check-out of room (or tent) before midday.
- All guests
and volunteers stay and work with us at their own risk. We do
not accept liability for any incident or accident. First Aid is
available on the property and the nearest health facilities are
at 8 km in Mariato. We strongly advise all foreign travelers to
obtain adequate health and travel insurance and to inform
themselves about possible health risks before traveling to
Panama.
